BCHS host first tournament of the New Year

On Saturday, Jan. 16, basketball players from all over the region took part in Barrhead Compostite High School’s annual Senior Jaguars Basketball tournament. The tournament featured 14 teams, seven boys and seven girls.

On Saturday, Jan. 16, basketball players from all over the region took part in Barrhead Compostite High School’s annual Senior Jaguars Basketball tournament. The tournament featured 14 teams, seven boys and seven girls.

In order to win the tournament the winning team on both the boys and girls side needed to go undefeated and win four games. On the boys side the Barrhead boys finished in second place losing in the championship match 47 to 52 to Westlock. The Neerlandia Eagles boys’ team finished in third place.

On the girls side the Jaguars finished in fourth place while the Neerlandia Eagles won the consolation final.
