Mark Oberg is officially no longer the chief administrative officer of the County of Barrhead.

In celebration of his five-year term with the county, members of council, administrative staff, friends and residents familiar with Oberg stopped by the county office on Friday, Dec. 16 to offer their congratulations and swap stories over some light refreshments.

“I didn’t have a party hat but it was definitely a party,” Oberg said.

New to Barrhead but not new to county management, Debbie Oyarzun, formerly the chief administrative officer for the Town of Morinville, was hired by the county and will assume the position in January 2017.
