BCHS boys Panthers win pair of games in home opener

The Barrhead Senior Panthers Boys and Girls basketball teams played their first pair of regular home games of the season on Monday, Dec. 14.

The Barrhead Senior Panthers Boys and Girls basketball teams played their first pair of regular home games of the season on Monday, Dec. 14.

In the first set of games the Panthers faced the Neerlandia Public Christian School Eagles in both boys and girls action.

The boy’s Panthers team defeated the Eagles by a score of 37 to 26. On the girl’s side, Barrhead was also victorious beating Neerlandia by a score of 16 to 9.

In the second set of games, both the Neerlandia Eagles and the Barrhead Jaguars boys and girls’ teams took on teams representing Pembina North Community School from Dapp.

The Barrhead boys defeated Pembina North handily by a score of 40 to 14, while the girl Jaguars lost in a squeaker by a score of 16 to 13. As for the Neerlandia Eagles they split their games with the Pembina North, with the boys being victorious (score not available) and girls losing 31 to 16.
