Both Barrhead Composite High School (BCHS) junior varsity volleyball teams won gold in the school’s annual Junior Varsity Invitational tournament.
The Sept 23 tournament sported 10 teams split evenly between boys and girls. Each team played four game round robin matches, with the top three teams qualifying for the playoffs.
On the boys side the Gryphons defeated Parkland in three sets. On the girls side Barrhead faced a tough Morinville opponent. After losing the first set the Gryphons won the next two to win gold.
