Barrhead brings in the New Year

The Town of Barrhead celebrated the New Year by hosting a family friendly Dec. 31 First Night celebration. Activities started at the Barrhead Regional Aquatics Centre where about 200 people took part in a free swim from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Town of Barrhead celebrated the New Year by hosting a family friendly Dec. 31 First Night celebration. Activities started at the Barrhead Regional Aquatics Centre where about 200 people took part in a free swim from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. After the free swim people could go to the Agrena’s Charles Godberson Rotary Room for a hot dog barbeque before ending with a free skate and fireworks display by the Barrhead Fire Department.
