Reader says facts are facts

Dear Editor,

The other day [April] we heard on the news that the pro-life society is not going to be making a presentation at the Red Deer Catholic School. This is because the message a young lady brought to their students last year was deemed inappropriate.

Undoubtedly, this will make the media, and also our education minister, who incorrectly thinks that he has the right to dictate his ideas to private schools, very happy. It is a very sad thing however, because the young lady who made the presentation was completely correct in comparing abortion to the evils that took place in Nazi Germany. The facts are the facts. The Nazis had no use for people who were physically or mentally challenged. The reality is that most of them were taken away and murdered.

We do exactly the same thing in today’s society. Pre-born children who are found to be “deficient” in one way or another, are regularly aborted in Canada. The sad result is that we see few young people with Downs syndrome and other challenges anymore.

In fact, Iceland proudly brags that they have done away with Down syndrome altogether. What we do in today’s society is the same as the Nazis did in their time. The only difference is location. In Germany, the challenged people were murdered outside the womb. In today’s society, they are murdered inside the womb.

As a local sign in Barrhead states, “Abortion is the worst human rights violation of our time.”
