Reader reminds people about the importance of voting for trustee

Dear Editor,

As I leave my home in Alberta after thirty-six amazing years, to return to my family in Ontario, it is with a sad heart that my final thoughts are once again drawn to the dismissal of the former Pembina Hills Schools Superintendent. My final wish as I leave this province, is that the Pembina Hills communities of Barrhead, Fort Assiniboine, Neerlandia, Westlock, Swan Hills, Busby, Clyde, Dunstable, Dapp, Jarvie, Fawcett and all other hamlets within the Pembina Hills school division will seriously consider the qualifications of those running for a position on the board of trustees for Pembina Hills this coming November. The people you elect will govern the future of your children and your grandchildren’s education.

Your children, families and school employees, especially those employees in leadership positions, deserve to have trustees whose focus is on governance, and who clearly understand the difference between governance and administration. Perhaps you are the person to represent your community.
