Thank you Assaf, Ulmer for stop sign support
RE: Stop sign
I would like to sincerely thank councillors Ty Assaf and Roy Ulmer, for their valiant attempt to support the will of the people. Media attention and a vocal controversy focussed peoples attention towards the misdemeanour habits of our local citizens as they hurry off to work and home again.
An old adage helps me make sense of these happenings, “Out of sight - Out of mind.” Once the dust settles will our citizens’ consciences return to their rushed ways? I believe the ultimatum is most likely. It is unfair to dump these simple transgressions upon our busy police force. They have better things to do, like keeping the peace and securing our personal safety.
A simple reminder of a permanent full stop sign becomes a constant and forceful reminder that ensures compliance. This simple cure takes little to adjudicate and if money is the issue, then those that signed the petition have already agreed to foot the bill. I have had my say in defence of our children and have made my point, so I will leave this issue to far greater minds than mine.
Sincerely, Mr. W. Krechuniak
