Sangudo Celebrate 100 years

Jun 26, 2012 06:00 am

Dear Editor,

The weekend of June 15-17 marked the celebration of the 100th birthday of the Village of Sangudo. With 600 guests, the breakfasts and supper went smoothly with plenty of tasty food.

We enjoyed the fireworks Saturday night which were comparable to any seen in the city. The old graduation photos, as well as the pictorial in the Arena brought back memories.

It was a great opportunity to re-connect with friends and school chums of years past.

To say the event was highly successful, well organized and full value for the admittance fee of $40 would be an understatement. What a blessing the weather was, no rain.

Hats off and many thanks to all the organizers and volunteers for a job well done.
