John Dykstra update
Dear Editor,
A few months ago, we put an article in the Barrhead Leader in regards to John Dykstra and his battle with cancer. At that time we set up an account at the Scotiabank and asked for your help to raise the funds to send John for alternative cancer treatments. We are writing again now to say thank you to everyone who donated towards this cause. You came through big time. In the two months we raised $35,000. Thank you, everyone. Your love and support mean a lot to us. John is scheduled to start his alternative treatments on March 6 and we pray that God will bless these treatments and the doctors and nurses who will be treating him. John has setup a webpage on the CaringBridge website for everyone to follow his progress. You can go the www.caringbridge.org. His user name is johndykstra1 and he will keep the webpage updated with his progress. If you still want to donate to help John and his family with his medical expenses you can still do so. Donations are still being accepted at the Scotiabank in Barrhead and at Junior Rufus/Sunshadow or at Grizzly Trail Motors.
